Assembly

Minda Valeo has modern Assembly lines. The emphasis is on Poka-Yoke implementation for defect prevention, lean manufacturing to ensure JIT, cycle time to match customer tact time. We are planning for effective automation and man in motion concept in Assembly lines.

In house Design Validation Capability

In the last three years, MVSS added number of customers to its customer base namely Renault, Nissan, Volkswagen, Mahindra Navistar, Hyundai and Jaguar Land Rover. In addition to this, MVSS has also added variety of products to its product range like outer/inside door handle (pull type), transmitter keys, latch, immobilizer, illumination rings and Mech. Steering Column locks with interlocking mechanism.

With the increased product portfolio it was important for MVSS to develop robust and self sufficient product Validation Capability in order to meet stringent customer / international product reliability standards. In the fourth quarter of calendar year 2008, team MVSS decided to take this challenge and initiated work on in-house test facility.

Today we can proudly say that we have validation capability for latch, Mechanical locksets, Fuel caps, transmitter keys, and immobilizers with a limited dependence on outside test agencies for a few tests for which MVSS do not have in-house test equipments.

Some of the highlights of MVSS testing capability are - Latch endurance, slam test, travel and force measurements, Latch actuator tests, Lockset endurance tests at varying temperature / humidity conditions, endurance tests for transmitter keys with actuators and ECU, testing capability of fuel caps for breath-in and breathe-out valves and fuel cap leakage for fuel tanks of high capacity (300-400 liters) and testing the lockset as per EEC/ECE, R-18 / AIS-075 standards etc.
